My Pivotal Moment
At a time when I was feeling worn out, depressed, and
disengaged, I happened upon the idea of aligning my daily routine, diet, and
exercise with my menstrual cycle. I'd tried everything, but I hadn't tried to
pay attention to my body.
And when I did at last...
My body wasn't broken; I found out.
It was just misinterpreted.
Hormonal changes brought on by each stage of the menstrual
cycle affect your mood, energy, focus, cravings, and performance. My world
changed when I began adapting to these changes rather than fighting them. I
felt energized again. My exercises made sense. My PMS subsided. I no longer
felt bad about taking a break. And at last, I started to feel in charge of my
health and body.
